Mario lost his body in a ghost fight (or something like that) He made Luigi go home without him.
At home, everyone at home but Luigi forgot who Mario is. So Luigi tried to find proof that he exist.
At about midnight, Mario visited him while he was asleep and erased his memories for his own good. Mario also promised to always be there to protect him.
The next morning, he forgot who Mario is. Saying he must be an old friend or something.... And that's it...
I always love sibling love the most. I always envy those with brother or sister who as loving as these two.
Yes, I know I messed up on spirit Mario. I suck at drawing the supernatural.
But I had to draw the feels here.
